Back before Christmas, Bill and Linda Dunn sat down with 3 of the last employees from the Glenayr Kitten Mill: Krista Caldwell, Feryn Donaldson, and Ruth Greer. The three women shared many memories of life and work at the Mill, and we’re proud to be able to share those stories here.

Lanark Town On Fire, Canada. 1959

June 16, 1959 – Filmed as wind-whipped flames snarled and crackled through the little village of Lanark, near Ottawa, Canada, gutting the main part of the business section, demolishing a score of homes, and burning down the town hall.
